The Pathology AI Library

About

Why this exists

A pathologist can find a hundred papers about AI in an afternoon and still not answer the only questions that matter in practice: can I use this, will it run on what I have, and does it send my slides somewhere.

What this is

A continuously updated catalogue of AI in pathology — foundation models, QuPath extensions, datasets, cleared commercial products, validation guidance and the failure modes nobody advertises. Every entry records its cost, its hardware floor, whether it works offline, whether it uploads your data, and where it stands with regulators.

Regulatory status is transcribed from the regulator's own public record, with the date it was checked and a link so you can verify it yourself. Never from a vendor's marketing page.

How it is maintained

Discovery is automated. Every week a pipeline searches arXiv, PubMed, Hugging Face, GitHub and the FDA device database, and drafts an issue. Judgement is not automated — but it is applied by one person, as time allows.

So each weekly issue is labelled reviewed or awaiting review, and issues get relabelled as they are read. You always know whether you are looking at something checked, or something merely found. That seemed more honest than publishing late and pretending everything had been read.

Declarations

No third-party sponsorship, paid placement, or affiliate arrangements. No entry appears here because someone paid for it, and no ordering reflects anything but the stated criteria. Links above to the maintainer's own teaching and research pages — some of which are paid — are self-evidently his own, and no catalogue entry is affected by them.

This is a personal project. It is not an official publication of Government Medical College Chittorgarh or the Government of Rajasthan, and inclusion of any product does not constitute endorsement by any institution.

An index, not advice. Nothing here has been validated for your laboratory. Regulatory clearance in one country says nothing about another. Performance reported in a paper does not transfer between laboratories — scanner, stain protocol and patient population all shift results, and validation remains your responsibility.

Corrections

Factual errors are taken seriously, regulatory ones especially. Report anything wrong and it will be corrected. Vendors are welcome to correct facts about their own products; promotional copy will be declined, politely.
